A fine George II Virginia walnut foldover tea table of superb colour.
Very well drawn with turret corners and "hocked" cabriole legs carved with C scrolls.
Small frieze drawer, single gateleg.

Circa 1740.

NB: Virginia or Red walnut is the North American variant of European walnut much used between 1725-1750 as English walnut declined in popularity.
This table could possibly be Irish.
